On November 9th, the Master Distributor of bHip Global, Kosta Gara, wrote on his blog about Apple Support. I read everything and follow Kosta - because he is my mentor, the Leader that I follow and the pulse of my bHip Global business. Kosta Gara blog makes me think ... what do you expect when you ask for support? I commented in my facebook account - Thank you Kosta for raising the bar and reminding us to expect excellence in our life.

Are we getting used to average or mediocre support or maybe allow no response at all. How can you get anything done without support? Perhaps you work alone but the greatest leaders achieve LEADERSHIP role because they have followers! We achieve more as a network. Sure you buy the guarantee, you own the warranty - but when you go to inquire, do you get satisfaction? Insurance companies create the worst fear. If you call an insurance agent its likely to raise your rates because its a mark on your account - you asked a question about your policy and you will suffer the consequences. If you demand for what you paid for, have you ever been treated like a problem or left feeling guilty for asking. There are ways to negotiate the best results for yourself - sometimes its easy to get support and sometimes it takes moxy.

We are all experiences the movement of customer call centers to India. When I was working at Eastman Kodak, India Support Reps and India Engineers Contractors were moving into our buildings in upstate New York. I had a unique opportunity to meet these support personnel and I want to tell you, I was humbled by their kindness and genuine desire to be friendly. At the time, I was in the service occupation. As I was fixing his computer, one Indian contract engineer had a 5 Rupee sitting on his desk. Knowing that my oldest son would be traveling into Europe and Asia in the coming months, I inquired about the Indian currency. He told me a story about his father and that it would take an entire YEAR for his father in India to earn that money. He felt so blessed to be working in the United States - he was one of the kindest engineers I ever helped and it changed me that day. I was so glad to help him because he valued everything about me & the service that I brought to him. How different is that - that a man from India needed customer service from an American lady!! I take customer service to a higher level - I am service oriented so I know what the challenges are and I am gracious and grateful for individuals who have to help me.

Blog Action Day: Fuel Cell Vehicles

In honor of Blog Action Day here is how my little town Can Make A Difference and Effect Climate Change!

Fuel Cell Vehicles (FCV) are manufactured here in Honeoye Falls, New York by US car giant General Motors. These FCV are test models and you can see them driven around our little town. On one occasion, our cub scout troop had a special visit from the GM reps to learn about the technology. Our son was invited to sit inside the FCV when one of the GM employees was in the local grocery store parking lot. Several GM employees live on our street and during our family walks we have stopped so the children could have a brief visit about Energy Conservation and the potential Impact of Fuel Cell Vehicles.

The emerging technology of FCV has the potential to significantly reduce energy use and harmful emissions, as well as our dependence on foreign oil. FCVs will have other benefits as well. Click on NOVA scienceNOW , to learn more about the pros and cons for Fuel Cell Vehicles.

The FCV do NOT use gasoline or oil to operate the motor and mechanics of the vehicle. Similar to battery-electric vehicles, FCVs are propelled by electric motors. however FCV do NOT store electricity in a battery. FCVs create their own electricity. Fuel cells onboard the vehicle create electricity through a chemical process using hydrogen fuel and oxygen from the air.

Pure hydrogen FCVs emit no pollutants, only water and heat; while those using hydrogen-rich fuels produce very small amounts of air pollutants. In addition, FCVs are twice as efficient as similarly sized gasoline or diesel vehicles.

The availablity of Fuel Cell Vehicles to the consumer is still a long road ahead. Significant research and development is required to reduce cost and improve performance. We must also find effective and efficient ways to produce and store hydrogen and other fuels.

The United States has established a FreedomCar and Fuel Partnership Plan with General Motors.

The Mission

The mission of the Vehicle Technologies Program is to develop more energy efficient and environmentally friendly highway transportation technologies that enable America to use less petroleum. The long-term aim is to develop "leap frog" technologies that will provide Americans with greater freedom of mobility and energy security, with lower costs and lower impacts on the environment.

Transportation energy security will be achieved through a U.S. highway vehicle fleet of affordable, full-function cars and trucks that are free from petroleum dependence and harmful emissions without sacrificing mobility, safety, and vehicle choice.

We are really grateful that General Motors has set up their research facility in Western New York. They have hired hundreds of employees to work at the Fuel Cell facility, which improves our little town and keeps local business thriving.

Legend of the Pine Cone

I recently visited my grandmother's grave - she was an amazing woman who was blessed with wealth, intelligence, passion, artistic ability and 98 incredible years of life. She lived the good life and she is STILL my favorite person. I really enjoy taking time out of my busy schedule and sitting quietly near her grave - even after death she continues to provide serenity, just thinking of her kindness is encouraging and helps to give me confidence to overcome incredible challenges. But something really odd happened this time. while I was there a pine cone dropped out of the sky and landed next to me, almost into my lap. honestly, in the ten years I've been nuturing the geraniums at her gravesite, I never noticed there was a pine cone tree overhead. I kept asking what is this message... about the pine cone. There once lived a poor family without enough food to eat or enough wood for their fire. The mother decided to go into the forest to search for pine cones. She was planning to use the pine cones to build a fire for her family, and she was also hoping she could sell some of them to get money to buy food.
After walking for hours, the mother finally reached the forest and started gathering pine cones into her basket. Suddenly, she heard a voice say, "Why are you stealing my pine cones?" With that, an elf appeared beside her.
She explained her sad story to the elf. With a crooked smile, the elf said, "Go into the next forest. The pine cones there are much better."
Hesitantly, the mother set off to the next forest, which was even farther away. When she reached it, she was very tired. She leaned against a tree and sat her basket on the ground.
No sooner had she set down her basket, and dozens of pine cones started falling to the ground. Filled with renewed energy, she gathered all the pine cones into her basket and returned home.

Dr Oz and Oprah Winfrey vs MLM Scams
A quick summary is the lawsuit identified 52 specific defendents and 500 unnamed affiliate defendents who used Oprah Winfrey and Dr Oz name without approval, copyright materials, videos and falsely portraying Oprah Winfrey and Dr Mehmet Oz as celebrity endorsements for marketing products. The jurisdiction mainly identified as selling in NY, where the lawsuit was filed.

According to the allegation, The defendents were using the internet, including but not limited to affiliate websites, blogs, articles and press releases.

Here's more details about allegations and damaging evidence of misrepresentations and defamation of character as well as credit card fraud, false health claims and consumer marketing deception:


On August 19,2009 Dr Mehmet Oz and HARPO LLC (company owned by Oprah Winfrey) filed a lawsuit in the Southern District of New York City United States.

Dr. Oz, a renowned doctor who regularly appeared on television on the talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show ("TOWS") and who will host the soon to premier The Dr. Oz Show, Zo-Co, the owner of the Dr. Oz family of trademarks OW the holder of the right of publicity rights of Oprah Winfrey - one of the most famous and respected individuals in the world and Harpo, the owner of the "OPRAH" and "O" family of trademarks and the copyrights in the number one rated award winning TOWS bring this action Seeking injunctive relief and damages for the Defendants' deceptive and fraudulent practices that have harmed them (Dr Oz & Oprah) and thousands of consumers who have been and are injured by Defendants' conduct.

2. Defendants are sellers, suppliers, importers and/or marketers of products that purport to be dietary supplements, such as for "resveratrol, acai berry, colon cleansing, cosmetics, such as cellulite and anti-wrinkle creams and/or over the counter drugs such as tooth whitening products (all together these products are now called the Infringing Products). These products include but are not limited to:

These defendants are willfully capitalizing on Plaintiffs' valuable reputation and intellectual property rights to lure consumers into ordering the Infringing Products on the false premise that they have been tested or recommended by Ms. Winfrey and/or Dr Oz when they have not. Defendants are fabricating quotes or falsely purporting to speak in Dr Oz's and/or Ms. Winfrey's voice about specific brands and products that neither of them has endorsed. Defendants' conduct has gravely injured Plaintiffs' reputations. Plaintiffs seek to stop the unauthorized and unlawful use of Dr Oz and Ms Winfrey's names, pictures, voices and identities and Harpos and Zo Co's trademarks and copyrighted works in connection with Defendants' marketing and sales of or offers to sell the Infringing Products.

4. Upon information and belief many of Defendants offers turn out to be credit card scams and other fraudulent schemes by which Defendant

• charge customers despite advertising that the Infringing Products are available for a free trial


• fail to fulfill orders despite charging consumers


• charge consumers for monthly subscriptions of Infringing Products without the consumers having signed up for any such subscription

5. Defendants conduct also raises serious public health and safety concerns because many, if not all of the defendants are illegally marketing the Infringing Products, which are not approved as drugs as a means to cure, mitigate, treat or prevent diseases, illnesses or serious conditions. Such marketing messages are, upon information and belief, unsubstatiated and unauthorized health claims which Defendants falsely attribute to Dr Oz and Ms Winfrey.

6. Defendants are brazenly using Plaintiffs property and infringing upon their rights despite repeated requests that they cease and desist from such use and/or Plaintiffs other extensive efforts to put a stop to such unauthorized and unlawful use.

7. Plaintiffs seek injunctive relief, damages, including exemplary and punitive damages and attorney fees under various causes of action, for violation of their statutory rights of privacy and publicity under New York Civil Rights Law 50 and 51 and the Illinois Right of Publicity Act 765 ILCS 1075/1 et seq. trademark infringement, false endorsements, sponsorship or affiliation and dilution under Sections 32 and 43 of the Trademark Act of 1946 (the Lanham Act) 15 USC 1114 1116-1118 and 1125, copyright infringement under the Copyright Act 17 USC 101 et seq deceptive acts and practices under New York General Business Law 349, false advertising under New York General Business Law 350, violation of the Illinois Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act, cybersquatting under the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act 15 USC 1125, common law unfair competition, and unjust enrichment.

The lawsuit went on to identify 500 websites in an attachment that used Oprah or Dr Oz name, trademarks, or copyright material. In addition, actual 52 names and addresses of MLM companies, distributors and advertisers were identified. The allegations are very strong and the Plaintiff(s) reserves the right to post an addendum upon discovering more information about the distributors, affiliates, owners, locations and contact details of the defendants.

The Beat Goes On

We start each day in our house with gratitude and as we discuss the plans for the day at the breakfast table, I am quickly reminded of why I chose to work at home. We are relaxed, there's no rush hours or scrambling to get into the rat race, there's very little stress and no boss - we're just enjoying the pace that we set. Imagine, laughter filling a house - giggling and joy. Plenty of time to smell the flowers and jumping in the puddles because we give ourselves permission to take it easy. One day at a time. I had always hoped that my life would be rich - sure, we have recently been fortunate enough to get organized and announce that we are debt free,( being debt free is incredible in and of itself...) but the wealth I'm talking about is related to the joy in our family, the gratitude we have, the hugs, the smiles, the encouragement, the serenity as described in As A Man Thinketh. Literally, no one is crying over spilled milk at the breakfast table in our house. When your focus is on gratitude, you get more of it. Man becomes what he thinks about. I'm thinking about being rich - and when I take inventory of my life, I am a millionaire. We are truly giving our children A Better Childhood.

I am constantly reminded of the great people who have trusted me in business and joined the Team in Motion. Last night Mike J from Canada called to help with a few prospects. I reported that 25% of my business partners are still active - that's remarkable to me. If you have been in the industry long you might have heard that 95% of network marketers fail. We're beating the odds here and its because we stay in the game. I was also grateful to discuss how our bHip Energy sample campaign is very successful - we have converted 10% into repeat customers (the earnings from those sales paid for all the samples & shipping costs, so we're very grateful for our new retail customers). 125 new bHip Global distributors joined my business already this month, August 2009. Last night we were grateful to relax on the porch after a busy day with the family and we were talking about how we are 'really' accomplishing this success? Yesterday, I received a 2010 calendar in the mail that says "The Sunny Side of Customer Service". Each month of This calendar is filled with funny cartoons and clever messages. We sat down to plan our coming year and we realized we've said many of these slogans and we've done things like Go the Extra Mile - literally driving 12 hours to meet our bHip Michigan Team. The success we have is about commitment to following the system, plugging in with everyone in bHip Global, side line, upline, downline - we dont really worry about the barriers as much as value the connection - I truly believe that every distributor in bHip Global is on the same mission, we're brothers and sisters. We're a strong company because those who stay with bHip Global are the TEAM, we are the Team in Motion and we're a close knit organization. The competition in our minds isnt within bHip Global - we're not even in competition with anyone.

Google Analytics Review

I'm jumping ahead a little with the 30 Day Challenge - since this is my 3rd summer, I already knew the value of having your monitoring tools ready. I like simplicity and I prefer tools that are user friendly and easy to use - otherwise tasks turn into WORK! Google Analytics is created for the Average Joe to setup monitoring, create Custom Reports and Goals. Its nice to have the Adwords and other monetary campaigns integrated into Analytics too, if you are using those features.
The benefit of having Google accounts is the organization and connection between all of the resources and tools. When you login and click on My Account, you can see the display of "My Products" - and there is just about everything I can think of that Google offers: Alerts, Blogger, Google Friend Connect, Video, Analytics, FeedBurner, Groups, Subscribed Links, Gmail, IGoogle, Talk - just to name a few.

I recently saw a tweet that was showing some growing signup numbers for one of the new MLM business that is in pre-launch. It was something like "just in 5, 10, 30 even 50 signups per day". What's kind of deceiving about posting numbers like that is the lack of information about what is required to 'signup'. If the positions cost $0, well, my friends 1,000,000 tirekickers are still tirekickers. You can hope that one of those million will suddenly get motivated but at the end of the day, your commission check is calculated on sales volume. The other deceptive part of some Network Marketing Companies in their communication is using fear of loss and false sense of momentum. Did you ever get an email that reads "26 people just joined your downline today". Well, my friends, that tactic is a more than a decade old and its simply a marketing trick to use psychology and manipulate people. Sure it works, because people are vulnerable and sadly don't understand the psychology of autoresponders. At the end of the day, its about Sales Volume and usually its specifically about your personal genealogy - like if you invited someone who bought stuff or sold stuff. This is marketing - and anyone who tries to tell you something different is consciously lying to you right at the beginning - and they will probably keep trying to deceive you.

Sitting in Traffic Never Felt so Good

Have you ever sat in a traffic jam and cursed. As you wait impatiently for the light to change, you just want to get through the rush hour or maybe you are really upset that there is an accident ahead that is blocking your way and preventing you from your destiny: consider for a moment taking the Opposite Viewpoint. What if traffic was a good thing. After spending 4 years of my Corporate Life in the Washington DC area, I learned to accept traffic as part of my daily expectation; there was little I could do about it and I frequently would be stuck in traffic for hours of each day. I would attempt to fill the time with value added activities like visiting with my passengers, listening to books on tape, making mental lists of things to do or things I'm grateful for. Of course, I could have spent my time watching people, that was less interesting to me but there was plenty of characters enroute everyday. The roadside views along the Potomac River (Virginia side) would be bright and colorful most of the year. (someone told me it was Lady Bird Johnson that wanted wildflowers to grow along the highways - apparently she has requested a similar initiative in Texas before coming to Washington DC. Whomever initiated it, I grew to appreciate and look forward to the Cherry Blossoms and other foliage). The traffic was the calm before the storm of my daily grind and I learned to enjoy the long drives every day after I realized I needed to change my attitude about Traffic. You could never really anticipate how long it would take to get around the Beltway, so you just had to make the best of it.

When you are in internet marketing, you gotta LOVE the traffic - I mean isnt our main objective to get visitors to come to our website? so next time you are in a traffic jam, allow yourself to change your perspective for a moment. Look around and think of all the people that you could share your website with. Sitting in Traffic Never Felt so good!

I recently added a visitor monitoring system and its fascinating to see who is visiting Free2Bhip.Blogspot.com these days.

The visitor monitoring system is from FeedJit.com - there is a pro version but I currently am just testing it under the Try It Before You Buy It policy.

The live feed, in real time, will tell you who is visiting, how they arrived at your site (like from Google or Twitter) and if they clicked on any links on the page when they exited. I've been finding the information very helpful to see, for example I can see the trends of activity on my Free2Bhip blog when I post a link in Twitter or Facebook.

I am quite surprised at the wide range of locations where people are finding me. I recently had visitors from New Guinea, Norway, Phillippines, Mexico, Guatemala, South Wales, Australia, of course lots from Canada provinces including Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia. The visitors from the United States have also been from all directions including but not limited to Oregon, California, Hawaii, Alabama, Texas, Arizona, Minnesota, Michigan, and New York. Overcome Personal Challenges

So what are our challenges in life?

Love and Relationships

I was given a second change in life - against all odds I found the love of my life after a series of failures. Letting go of the past, "We got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout". I tell people, I'm still on my honeymoon even though we're heading into double digit years of marriage. We have our own sports-team lineup with 10 in our family tree now - you can only imagine how busy I am around suppertime! I love this life and am so grateful for all these little people and a spouse to share this life with me. My secret is
1. focus on some personal soul searching to prepare yourself for the chance
2. define the perfect mate
3. let go of old patterns
4. be 100% willing to accept the new pattern
5. stay committed, no matter what (this might be the hardest action of all)
If I did it, You can do this - I survived the worst possible experiences in life and now I cherish every good relationship in my life. Employment

One HUGE challenge was replacing my corporate income after a sudden layoff - that sucked. We had just gotten married less than a year before our town hit some economic turmoil and BAM! we got pregnant and I became an easy target at layoff time. I knew right away I couldnt just sit here and let fate take me into poverty. Without missing a beat, I came back up on top of my game. I paid off my car loan, cut up my credit cards, I dabbled in eBay, tried a couple online ventures like Survey Taking, Paid To Read Emails and then found Network Marketing which led into Internet Marketing. Almost 6 years later, We are debt free, after some serious financials sacrifices and staying in the game. I never quit and we are winning. We are watching our neighbors lose their house, sacrifice their retirement investments and quit frankly lose hope. More than 1/2 of them are getting divorced. Probably our only secret to this game of survival is I kept showing up. I stayed commited to be success. Plan the Work, Work the Plan and NEVER QUIT!!! Weight Loss

I successfully lost 85 pounds through lowfat eatting, taking a dietary supplement every day and 30 minutes of exercising 5 days a week - 85 pounds was like carrying 8 bags of potatoes around - can you imagine? I got a second chance in life because I put my mind to accomplishing a goal and I never quit. I did it from the comfort of my home - added Acai Berry to my diet, reduced the fat intake and did some low impact aerobics through TV, as I recall it was Denise Austin. I was a whole new me. Diabetes

I have one of those family history charts that is doom and gloom. Time

This is probably the biggest hurdle I have now. We have thousands of acres and thousands of square footage to care for. As mentioned above, the number of people I am responsible for on a daily basis is like the roster of a sports-team. There is a wise saying about a parent that gets up earlier than anyone else and stays up later than anyone. That's definately me. My length of day exceeds anyone else in this household and I honestly dont even watch the clock because it moves WAY TOO FAST in my humble opinion! One of the things I had to organize before I got involved with this network marketing company and my own business was Time Management. What I love about bHip Global is that we have a specific time and specific action guide for anyone to get started. It includes 14 hours per week for the serious but its really about 'your' first 14 hours of availability. Recently one of the speakers on our weekly training call said This is the Most forgiving business. Its so true. If you disappear for 11 days, 11 weeks, 11 months, we welcome you back in an instant. I am notorious for being late and I havent been the best example of time management. I am so happy and grateful that I dont have to punch a clock - and now that I dont hear the "nagging" response of You're Late, I started being on time. I show up because I want to get there. I love life and I'm learning some new skills. You can teach an old dog new tricks! Now, its just about sticking to the plan. Show up, do the tasks, come back again. do the next tasks. Free 2 bHip with Law of Attraction

This past week was my exciting brush with greatness and elbow rubbing with millionaires - I especially am grateful for visitors and friends that find my blog through their travels. A Better Childhood offers a little bit of encouragement - this is the freedom to be you. I am so happy and grateful to celebrate with my mentors, my bHip Global partners and my blog visitors.

I had a personal shout out from Jack Canfield, the renowned author of Chicken Soup for the Soul series. We exchanged some humorous comments; I was happy and grateful to Tweet about Jack Canfield because he's just contagious with his message and his wit - he's so genuine and its a honor to meet a person who is helping so many and reaches out to show his Real Personality. You are Gem in the Rough - thanks Jack for making my week awesome!

The following day I had a personal shout out from Dale Calvert. There is no doubt, if anyone knows me, that Dale Calvert changed my life - I consider myself one of his biggest fans. I will always rave about Calvert Marketing and Dale's training called 21 Ways - I found that his method of warm market prospecting is fun and easy to follow. We're on a mission to Pick a Town, Drop a Bomb. It was heart-warming to see Dale's continued humor when he responded "I hear an Explosion".

Every day I am blessed with continued Year Long Coaching program with Jim Rohn. I appreciate Jim's entire staff and the leadership of the Coach. Today is day #201 of the Jim Rohn Year Long Coaching Program - its a tremendous opportunity to grow within and build confidence. Once you have focused on personal development, you will see your business explode with momentum and partners. I think I can recite Jim Rohn Network Marketing Audio by heart - I've listened to it so often, it continues to inspire and be relevant to my business and my life.

Yesterday I received a personal email from bHip Global Master Distributor Kosta Gara. He has had a tremendous international itinerary in the most recent weeks. I am so blessed to have a partner that reaches out to me personally and makes sure I'm on track and heading to Vegas for our annual bHip Global Gala. I am looking forward to a bHip Global event in my Local area - details will follow, its going to be an exciting opportunity for me to watch others hear his testimony and I am bubbling with anticipation and can hardly think of anything else as the plans unfold for the bHip Global event scheduled in my neck of the woods.

Garden of Prospects

As a family, we've been busy getting the garden ready for a couple of months now. We are already enjoying the fruits of our labor with the first harvests of the season. We've been enjoying garden peas, lettuce and now peppers in the vegetable garden. The berries have been ripe and our desserts have included strawberries and raspberries. Everyday the kids run out into the garden to see how what they can fill their 'harvest' baskets today.

We were surprised that the bugs are at an all time low count this year, possibly because of the rain. Yes, there is an abundance of snails but did you know that a cup of beer attracts them. Maybe they just crawl in and get drunk - but I'll gladly share a beer with a slug to spare my vegetable crop and flower beds!



Granted, the weeds are in full bloom too. I make an honest effort to fully weed once around the yard during a 7 day cycle. We just put in a couple of hours per day to make sure that we stay on top of the weeds and keep the beds looking fresh and delicious. The extra rain has also given us a run for our money with the mowing, edging and trimming - this is another dutiful task we must attend to once per week. fortunately my spouse and I rotate the mowing tasks to reduce the overall burden and focus more on the enjoyment of our yard. We laugh that someone has invented the slow-growth lawn seed - maybe we could just put in astroturf and cut out mowing all together!



I've been keeping a journal so that I know where I planted the seeds and what type of 'leaf' to look for in certain beds. The seedlings are really sprouting up and we're so thrilled to have the sunflowers and gladiolas showing some heighth now. (NOTE: if you plant sunflowers alone you might attract some deer, putting out the glads close by will deter the deer and provide the beautiful variation in heighth and color). With all the work, I got to go through all these experiences and sure enough the results are ALWAYS amazing and the fruit is more delicious than ever expected! My garden is always reflective of my efforts and its an opportunity to give to the wildlife in my yard, the neighbors and bring fresh produce to the family dining table!


So what is all this garden and yard talk have to do with network marketing. Well, in fact I have a favorite analogy related to Planting Pumpkin seeds. We just looked at the calendar and realized this past weekend was the perfect timing to plant pumpkins. Pumpkins take 100 days from seed to harvest and that will take us into about October 20th. just in time for fall and perfect for carving and decorating for our autumn yard theme. My experience with 'indecisive' prospects in network marketing that it could take up to 90 days for some to join your business. If you considered your business like a farmer, you would be 'planting seeds' when you are prospecting. The law of sowing and reaping always works, and it always works the same way for everyone.

I appreciate this passage "And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all men. " I really enjoy sharing bHip Global products and the business opportunity with others. My commitment and passion is contagious - some will join, some will admire and some just wont. Any of those conditions dont really impact my determination and my business - because my passion is my own and I love bHip Global!
